35 Foot Dive Into 12 Inches of Water!!

This is ridiculous, check this out!

"Darren Taylor, or Professor Splash as he likes to be known, has smashed his own world record for the highest dive into just 12 inches of water. This is now the third time he's broken his previous Guinness World Record.

Apparently he uses a kind of belly flop technique, which he claims helps him "skip across the water" as he's landing. Quite how I'm not sure. But, like any true pro he's keen to offer out a word of wisdom to any wannabe Professor Splashs, saying that the key to his success is "experience and research" and that, unsurprisingly, what he does isn't easy."

Check out You Tube video of the dive here

14 Year Old Attempting World Record for Solo Around the World Sail

Interesting story. Let us know what your thoughts are about a 14 year old attempting to circumnavigate the globe alone? Her determination is admirable and we wish her safe travels.

"Teen sailor Laura Dekker says she will leave the Netherlands on Wednesday in her quest to become the youngest to circumnavigate the globe alone. Laura won a prolonged battle last Tuesday when a court released her from the guardianship of Dutch child protection agencies that had blocked her attempts to leave last year when she was still 13.

She planned to set out at 9 a.m. (0700GMT) in her 38-foot (11.5-meter) yacht Guppy from the southern Dutch harbor of Den Osse with her father Dick Dekker, who has supported Laura's ambitions to enter the record book as the world's youngest round-the-world sailor.

But her plans and legal wrangles have contributed to a global debate over the wisdom of allowing ever-younger sailors to take on the risks of sailing the high seas alone. Concerns were heightened in June when American teen Abby Sunderland had to be rescued in the Indian Ocean.

Laura is trying to beat the record set last May by Australian Jessica Watson, who was 16 years old when she completed a 210-day voyage on her 34-foot (10-meter) yacht, Ella's Pink Lady, around the world. Watson says she has just completed a book on her experience."
